Welcoming Spring Weddings with a Vibrant Citrus Styled Shoot

We had so much fun hosting this bright, citrus-themed styled shoot coordinated by Laced with Grace Events and captured by The Trinh Studios! These vibrant pops of color are the perfect way to welcome our spring and summer weddings. Several weddings and celebrations have been inspired by this citrus look, and we can’t wait to see more in the future.

Keep reading for more inspiration and fun wedding ideas from this citrus styled shoot.

Zesty Tablescape for Bright Spring Wedding

For this citrus styled shoot at our North Houston wedding venue, we took a trip outdoors to capture the beautiful details and enjoy the gorgeous spring weather.

The rich wood tones in the tables meant no linens were needed for this tablescape. Plump, bright blooms paired with fresh citrus fruits to create a gorgeous centerpiece down the table, crafted by Jackie Trejo Floral Design. The sprawling centerpiece provides each guest with a unique seat, and the low height sets a more intimate arrangement that’s fitting for this outdoor event.

Rentals brought by Swift + Company and Linens and Events added softness and warmth to the citrus theme. Etched glassware elevated the dining experience for this outdoor celebration. Scalloped gold chargers complemented the warm floral tones, with the knotted napkins providing another soft pop of color.

This citrus palette would look amazing for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, or at a wedding reception in our wood Barn.

Details to Complete the Citrus Wedding Theme

Along with the tablescape, we saw more citrus details in the form of dessert, invitations, jewelry, and more.

Creamy white and soft blush custom invitations from Jo’s Paper Kitchen were the focal point of the flat lay on a vintage white table. Bright flowers, fresh cookies, and matching jewelry from Kendra Scott tied the look together. An invitation suite is a guest’s first look at a wedding theme, and this invitation suite paired with cheery details set a fun tone for our citrus styled shoot.

Get Caked baked up a sweet batch of citrus cookies and a classic wedding cake for this sunny day. Topped with gold trim on each tier, the bottom of the classic white cake was complete with sunset watercolor tones. Bright pink, orange, and yellow blooms adorned the cake to further tie in the vibrant citrus palette. The cookies were just as sweet, complete with watercolor citrus fruit on the icing. These desserts were a tasty treat during our citrus styled shoot.

These details and desserts were the perfect way to complete this citrus-inspired styled shoot. We can easily picture these details featured at our upcoming spring and summer weddings and events.

Sunny Bike Ride Around the Wedding Venue

We celebrated the beautiful weather during the styled shoot with the bride and groom riding around our wedding venue with a vintage yellow bike.

This sunshine yellow bike borrowed from Kendra Scott’s store was a fun addition to the styled shoot. The vibrant flowers from Jackie Trejo and playful balloons from Glamfetti adorning the bike further made it a part of the citrus theme. On this gorgeous day with a yellow bike in tow, it definitely felt like summer was almost here!

We are so thankful that Kendra Scott let us borrow their yellow bike during this citrus styled shoot. With a basket full of blooms, this bike elevated our outdoor photos. This would make a gorgeous addition to any wedding day as a decoration, photo prop, or even an interactive way for guests to grab flowers for send off.

Beautiful Spring Weather for a Walk in the Woods

Among all the custom backdrops of this citrus styled shoot, we had to spotlight our own natural backdrop: the woods.

Our wedding venue in Magnolia, Texas, just north of Houston, is located on 18+ wooded acres. Abundant trees provide ample natural backdrop opportunities as you walk around and enjoy our wedding venue. Our full venue rentals include access to our entire wedding venue, so even if you’re marrying in our Chapel, you can still enjoy our outdoor ceremony and woods for photos, first looks, and more.

The weather during this styled shoot was gorgeous, and the bride and groom enjoyed walking around our Magnolia wedding venue to find unique woodsy backdrops for more photos.

Baby Goats Join the Citrus Styled Shoot Fun

There was another fun surprise for this styled shoot… baby goats!

These cute little kids were brought to the citrus party by Goat Yoga TX. During this styled shoot we learned that holding a baby goat makes it impossible not to smile. The soft, classy hair and makeup by BP Artistry paired well as the bride held these cuddly goats close.

Floral wreaths adorning the baby goats made them fit right in with this citrus wedding theme. The delicate blooms on their wreaths matched the larger, vibrant blooms of the bouquet and tablescape. For this styled shoot moment, baby goats and blooms made a perfect pairing.

These baby goats ensured everyone had fun from start to finish during this citrus styled shoot.

Custom Backdrop on Barn Front Porch

After lots of fun on this sunny day, we moved to the shade of our Barn’s covered front porch.

With this gorgeous backdrop set up, at first glance, you might not realize you’re on our porch! We had two backdrops for this styled shoot, provided by Exquisite Details by Raquel. The backdrop featured here included a stately, classic white panel wall and elegant settee. A bright balloon garland from Glamfetti and fresh flowers from Jackie Trejo elevated the backdrop into a picture-perfect spot for our bride and groom.

This backdrop added so many possibilities to our Barn’s front porch. Adding a backdrop during a wedding day would create even more fun seating arrangements during cocktail receptions. This classic white panel backdrop would also look great as a photo booth backdrop. Seeing this backdrop on our Barn’s front porch filled us with inspiration for future wedding receptions.

This citrus styled shoot spotlighted many wedding details and ideas that we can’t wait to see in our future weddings and events.

Magnolia Bells had so much fun hosting this citrus styled shoot! An amazing team of vendors came together to make this bright, cheerful look possible. We are excited to see more citrus-inspired weddings and events, and we can’t wait to see our vendor friends out here again!
